Position Overview

The Associate Territory Manager is responsible for account-based selling to healthcare providers who prescribe and influence treatment decisions within cardiometabolic health. The role involves promoting Lilly’s product portfolio, developing territory strategies, engaging healthcare stakeholders, utilizing data insights, and achieving sales objectives through effective execution of Lilly’s selling and account management models.

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership

  • Promote priority products across multiple healthcare provider specialties.
  • Understand territory dynamics and develop strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Navigate healthcare environments and payer landscapes to strengthen customer partnerships.
  • Use business insights, data, and analytics to identify opportunities and market trends.
  • Adopt new technologies, including approved AI tools and analytical capabilities, to improve customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.

Selling Skills & Customer Experience

  • Apply Lilly’s selling model, competency model, and account management model to improve performance.
  • Develop strong knowledge of disease states, clinical trials, marketplace conditions, and product labels.
  • Engage healthcare providers through patient-centered product discussions.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and healthcare stakeholders.

Execution & Results

  • Promote Lilly’s portfolio across healthcare provider specialties.
  • Achieve sales and execution targets while following company policies and procedures.
  • Manage customer relationships related to product promotion, approved medical questions, and market access.
  • Maintain accountability for performance across individual providers and healthcare systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to create successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional certification or license required for the position, if applicable by state requirements.
  • Valid US driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business ownership, selling, customer experience, and execution results.
  • Account-based selling experience with ability to identify and engage account stakeholders.
  • Strong learning agility, self-motivation, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
  • Bilingual skills aligned with territory and customer needs.
  • Residence within 30 miles of the assigned territory boundary.

Benefits & Rewards

Lilly offers an anticipated compensation range of USD $63,000 to $151,800, along with eligibility for company bonus programs based on individual and company performance.
