McKesson is seeking a Pharmacy Technician – First Shift to support high-volume, automated prescription fulfillment operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, and distributing medications while maintaining prescription accuracy, regulatory compliance, and patient safety within a centralized pharmacy environment.

Position Overview
The Pharmacy Technician supports McKesson’s central fill pharmacy operations by using advanced pharmacy automation systems and barcode-driven technology to fulfill prescriptions accurately and efficiently. The role plays a critical part in maintaining medication quality, compliance, workflow efficiency, and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Prescription Fulfillment Operations
- Prepare, package, and distribute prescription medications using automated pharmacy systems.
- Accurately fill and verify prescriptions according to pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stock automated dispensing cells and manage inventory using barcode scanning technology.
- Support daily prescription fulfillment and production goals.
Quality, Compliance & Patient Safety
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and internal safety procedures.
- Monitor prescription accuracy to support patient safety and quality standards.
- Follow established pharmacy workflows and operational protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and process adherence.
Team Collaboration & Workflow Support
- Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain efficient workflow.
- Support timely order processing and delivery.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, production-focused healthcare environment.
- Assist with inventory and fulfillment activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Technician In-Training License.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in pharmacy, healthcare operations, or a related regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.
- One (1) or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, central fill, mail order, or hospital pharmacy.
- Experience working with automated, high-volume pharmacy or healthcare logistics environments.
- Strong computer skills, including pharmacy systems or inventory management software.
- Experience with barcode scanning, order fulfillment, or warehouse operations.

Shift Schedule
- First Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Additional Schedule: Every 3rd Saturday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM
- Pay Rate: USD $18.95 per hour
Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in a centralized pharmacy fulfillment facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare production environment with physical activities including standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions.
