Job Overview

J.P. Morgan is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Investment Banking EMEA Media & Communications Advisory Team as an Analyst / Associate in London. The team consists of professionals with strong client relationships across a broad range of leading companies. The role involves maintaining strategic dialogue with key clients and executing M&A and capital market transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in transaction execution, collaborate with analysts, associates, and senior bankers, and work closely with colleagues across different countries and product teams, including M&A, ECM, and DCM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed valuation analysis, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis.
• Support daily deal execution and project management for clients.
• Conduct detailed combination, transaction structuring analysis, and other financial analysis.
• Prepare presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for corporate finance transactions and strategic client discussions.
• Interact with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to Analysts.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven Investment Banking or leading Corporate Finance experience, ideally within Media, Telecoms, and/or digital infrastructure sectors.
• Ability to interact with clients and stakeholders in a professional and mature manner.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Highly motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects independently.

Regulatory Requirement

This role involves the performance of regulated activities. The successful candidate will be required to meet regulatory requirements related to fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence, including approval by relevant regulatory authorities where applicable.
