Privacy policy

The short version: this site has no accounts, no sign-up, no contact form and nothing to upload. We do not ask you for personal information and we have no database to keep it in. The detail below is what happens anyway, because every website involves a server.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

What we do not collect

Visa Jobs is a set of static pages. There are no user accounts, no login, no newsletter, no contact form, no comments and no file uploads anywhere on the site. We do not ask for your name, email address, CV, immigration status or nationality, and there is no mechanism on this site by which you could give them to us.

Server logs

The site runs on a web server behind Cloudflare, which delivers the pages and filters malicious traffic. As with any website, requests are recorded in standard access logs: IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or attacks, not to build a profile of you, and they are not sold or shared for marketing. Cloudflare may set an essential security cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) to tell automated traffic apart from people.

Cookies

Beyond the essential Cloudflare security cookie described above, this site stores nothing on your device by default. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you agree to them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually find useful. It is set up so that every consent signal starts as denied: it counts page views without storing anything on your device, and no analytics cookie is set unless you agree to one through the consent notice described below. What we see are totals and trends — which pages, which countries, which devices, which sites sent you here. We do not see who you are, and we cannot tie a visit to a person.

You can block it outright with Google’s opt-out add-on or any tracker blocker, and the site will work exactly the same.

The “Match my job” tool

The matcher runs entirely inside your browser. When you open it, your browser downloads one static data file from this site and does all the matching locally on your own device. The job title you type is never sent to us, never stored, and never leaves your browser except as part of the page address if you choose to share or bookmark the result. We cannot see what you searched for.

Advertising

The site is free and we intend to fund it with advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising is not running yet; this section describes what will happen when it is, so you know before it starts.

  • Google and its partners will use cookies to serve ads, and may serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at google.com/settings/ads, and control third-party advertising cookies more broadly at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
  • How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Visitors in the UK and the European Economic Area will be asked for consent through a consent notice before any advertising or non-essential cookie is set, and can change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Links to other websites

We link out to job searches, to government sites including gov.uk, canada.ca and uscis.gov, and to EvoResume, a resume tool run by the same people as this site. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's website under their privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.

The government data we republish

The records behind this site identify employers — the organisation that filed, the job title, the location and, in the United States, the wage attested to. We aggregate them to employer level and we do not publish the names of sponsored workers. If you believe a page here discloses personal information about you, email [email protected] and we will look at it promptly. Note that the source files remain published by the relevant government department regardless of what we do.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to its use. Beyond the server logs described above, we hold no personal data about visitors, so in most cases the honest answer to such a request is that there is nothing to return. You are welcome to ask anyway: [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

This site is aimed at adults looking for work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes — such as advertising going live — will be reflected here before they take effect.
