Sam’s Club is seeking a Prepared Food Lead to oversee Prepared Foods and Café operations while leading a team of associates to deliver high-quality food, exceptional member service, and operational excellence. This leadership role combines food production, team supervision, merchandising, compliance, and business performance management.

Position Overview
The Prepared Food Lead supervises Prepared Foods and Café associates while managing food production, merchandising, quality standards, inventory, staffing, training, compliance, and member satisfaction. The role partners with other department leaders to ensure the club consistently delivers high-quality products and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise associates across Prepared Foods, Café, and Rotisserie operations.
- Coordinate work rotations and daily team assignments.
- Communicate department goals and execute company programs.
- Support associates while promoting a positive team environment.
Food Operations & Quality
- Maintain quality, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Manage production schedules, recipes, inventory, and seasonal products.
- Ensure merchandise is produced and displayed according to company standards.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to support operations.
Business & Technology
- Utilize digital tools and handheld technology to support production and sales.
- Monitor operational performance and improve business results.
- Plan staffing levels and maintain audit and compliance standards.
- Support operational continuity through effective business planning.
Training & Development
- Train, coach, and mentor associates to improve performance.
- Identify training needs and encourage career development.
- Support talent acquisition and onboarding activities.
- Promote continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
Compliance & Member Experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards.
- Lead by example while supporting the Open Door Policy.
- Prioritize member satisfaction through outstanding customer service.
- Support teamwork, collaboration, and an inclusive workplace culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in a fresh production department or six (6) months of experience supervising a team.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to successfully complete all required training and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising a team.
- Food Handler Certification (Food Safety Certification).

This is a full-time retail leadership position based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Associates work varying shifts while supervising food production, café operations, merchandising, inventory management, and team performance in a fast-paced warehouse club environment.
