General Motors is seeking an experienced Supervisor de Segurança Patrimonial to lead corporate security, emergency response, fire protection, and asset protection operations at its São José dos Campos facility. This onsite leadership role is responsible for safeguarding people, company assets, and business operations while ensuring compliance with corporate security policies and risk management standards.

Position Overview

The Supervisor de Segurança Patrimonial will oversee corporate security operations, emergency preparedness, fire prevention, investigations, risk assessments, and business continuity initiatives. The successful candidate will lead security personnel, manage third-party service providers, and collaborate with internal leadership and external public authorities to ensure operational safety and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Security & Asset Protection

  • Implement General Motors’ Corporate Asset Protection policies to prevent losses, theft, robbery, fraud, unlawful activities, and procedural deviations.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective measures to protect employees, company assets, and business operations.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate and implement security best practices to improve workplace protection.

Risk Management & Investigations

  • Conduct corporate investigations involving theft, fraud, robbery, and procedural violations.
  • Prepare confidential investigation reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Participate in Risk-Based Audit processes.
  • Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Fire Protection & Emergency Management

  • Lead fire prevention and firefighting initiatives in accordance with General Motors Fire Protection procedures.
  • Manage the company’s Emergency Response Plan following GM corporate requirements.
  • Participate in the Emergency Control Committee and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and operational resilience.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and supervise Security Agents, Security Guards, and Fire Brigade personnel.
  • Provide guidance and support to security teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence within security operations.

Contract & Vendor Management

  • Manage contracts related to security services, robbery prevention, fire prevention, and firefighting services.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Advise company leadership on strategies to strengthen corporate security.
  • Represent the Security Department before police authorities and public agencies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulatory authorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree completed.
  • Preferred fields of study include:

  • Business Administration

  • Information Technology
  • Psychology
  • Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Brazilian Armed Forces (preferably Sergeant or Temporary Officer)
  • Military Police or Civil Police
  • Leadership roles within private security organizations
  • Availability to work 100% onsite in São José dos Campos, São Paulo.
  • Availability to travel when required.
  • Availability to work weekends during operational needs or emergency situations.

Work Model

This is a fully onsite position. The selected candidate is expected to work onsite every day at the General Motors facility in São José dos Campos, São Paulo.
