Important Training Information

Candidates selected through this requisition are expected to begin initial Flight Attendant training in early 2027.

Applicants should only apply if they are able to fully commit to a training start date during this timeframe. Flight Attendant candidates may submit only one Flight Attendant application every six months.

  • Maintain customer comfort during turbulence, delays, and operational disruptions.
  • Make public address announcements and conduct safety demonstrations.
  • Perform duties effectively in changing cabin environments and altitude conditions.

Language of Destination (LOD) Flight Attendant Opportunities

Delta is hiring both English-speaking Flight Attendants and Language of Destination (LOD) Flight Attendants.

LOD candidates must be fluent in English and their selected language and successfully complete a language assessment during the hiring process.

LOD Flight Attendants are required to commit to the program for a minimum of two years after hire.

Training Program

All newly hired Flight Attendants must successfully complete seven consecutive weeks of paid training at Delta’s World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

During training, participants receive:

  • Training pay.

After graduation, Flight Attendants will report to their assigned base and join Delta’s team of more than 28,000 In-Flight Service professionals.

Base assignments are determined by operational needs and may differ for bilingual Flight Attendants.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 30 months’ validity remaining before the first day of training.
  • Non-U.S. passport holders must provide documentation demonstrating unrestricted entry and exit from the United States.
  • Must successfully complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test and comprehensive background screening.
  • Ability to sit and fasten seatbelt and shoulder harness on any aircraft jump seat within Delta’s fleet.
  • Ability to simultaneously reach 76 inches in height and 35 inches in width to safely operate Boeing 767 aircraft doors.
  • Ability to open emergency exits and aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull food and beverage carts requiring up to 32 pounds of force.
  • Demonstrate commitment to privacy and protection of personal information.

  • Willingness to relocate or commute to assigned base locations.
  • Ability to operate both domestic and international routes.
  • Adaptability to schedule changes and operational demands.
  • Commitment to all Delta appearance standards, corporate policies, and departmental procedures.
