About the Amazon Operations Finance Rotational Program Internship
Program Structure
The internship program places each intern on a single finance team for the duration of the 12-week summer program. While the full-time Operations Finance Rotation Program is rotational, the summer internship is not. You’ll develop deep expertise in one supply chain function and deliver meaningful results through focused project ownership.

Internship Project Ownership
Each OFRP intern receives a significant individual project to own and execute. Your project will focus on one of the following supply chain areas:
- Customer Fulfillment: Finance analysis supporting fulfillment center operations and efficiency
- Amazon Logistics: Last-mile delivery finance and cost optimization
- Amazon Air: Air freight and logistics financial planning
- Other Supply Chain Teams: Warehousing, transportation, network planning, and more
Your internship project will receive attention from senior leadership and cross-functional business partners, giving you early career visibility and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on Amazon’s operations.
Key Responsibilities of Operations Finance Interns
As an OFRP intern, you will:
- Conduct data-intensive financial analysis to support business recommendations and decision-making
- Dive deep into data to develop insights and drive resolution for your individual intern project
- Identify capital investment needs and cost reduction opportunities through financial modeling and analysis
- Partner with operational and frontline leaders to identify, develop, and implement process improvements within the supply chain
- Design and maintain reporting systems that enable business partners to take action and track performance metrics
- Interpret and communicate results effectively to Finance, Operations, and executive-level stakeholders
- Develop standard work outputs and documentation for long-term use across teams
Eligibility Requirements for Amazon Summer Internship
Basic Qualifications
To be eligible for the 2027 Amazon Operations Finance Rotational Program internship, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (as of application date)
- Expected graduation conferral date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Major or field of study in:
- Finance
- Economics
- Industrial Engineering
- Accounting
- Supply Chain Management
- Operations and Information Systems
- Business Administration and Management
- Mathematics
- Related fields
- Ability to work 40 hours/week throughout the 12-week summer internship (May–September 2027)
- Ability to relocate to either Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA for the internship duration

Remote work options are not available for this internship. All work must be conducted in person at your assigned Amazon office location in:
